Ohio State Depth Chart Released for Marshall
The depth chart was released today by Ohio State with a press release for the upcoming match-up with Marshall. Some of the surprises on the depth chart come in the way of freshman and red-shirt freshman making the two deep. Including Ohio State Roster members like Johnathan Hankins, Adam Bellamy, CJ Barnett, cornerback Corey Brown, wide receiver Corey Brown, and Andrew Norwell.

One of the first things to notice on the Ohio State Depth Chart is that Nathan Williams is the starting defensive end along with Cameron Heyward. There was some worry that his recent injury would limit him going into the season. So seeing the junior end who played quite a bit in rotation with the starters last season, is a good sign for the younger defensive line.
Johnathan Hankins is the backup defensive tackle behind starter Dexter Larimore. The true freshman has performed well in fall camp and is the heaviest lineman on the roster at 335 lbs. Red-shirt freshman Adam Bellamy has moved outside as the second string defensive end behind Cameron Heyward. That the line rotates in 6 players throughout a game, means the two younger players have a very good chance of seeing the field early and often this season.
Going into fall camp the starting safeties were Jermale Hines and Orhian Johnson. On the first depth chart of the season, sophomore CJ Barnett has jumped into the starting line-up ahead of Johnson. The star position includes other safeties Tyler Moeller and Christian Bryant.
Corey Brown from Monroeville Pennsylvania is listed as the backup corner back behind Devon Torrence. One of two outstanding recruits from the powerhouse PA high school program was one of the best recruits of the 2009 class. The other Corey Brown, Philadelphia wide receiver, has been listed in the 2nd position at receiver along with Chris Fields behind Dane Sanzenbacher.
At the right tackle position, Andrew Norwell from Cincinnati Anderson has moved into the 2nd string behind JB Shugarts. The loss of Marcus Hall to a red-shirt season for academic reasons makes Norwell more likely to see playing time as a true freshman. Andrew Miller is also struggling with some elbow weakness while still backing up Mike Adams at the left tackle position. Miller was thought to be the main backup at both tackle positions until his elbow flared up late in camp.
