Braxton Miller Named Big 10 Freshman of the Week

The Ohio State Buckeyes took on the Wisconsin Badgers this past Saturday Night in Ohio Stadium and thanks to some fourth quarter heroics by freshman quarterback Braxton Miller, they were able to pull off the upset 33-29. Miller completed a last minute 40-yard pass to freshman receiver Devin Smith with 20 seconds left in the game to go ahead for good. This followed a 44 yard touchdown run by Miller that put Ohio State ahead at the time early in the last quarter.

Miller has now been named the Freshman of the Week by the conference for his overall performance which included 99 yards rushing and 89 yards passing. Miller has been slowly improving week to week since taking over the starting role from Joe Bauserman who proved to be ineffective in the teams three loses this year. The Buckeyes are now 4-3 overall and looking forward to the rest of their schedule which appears to be easier than their most recent games. Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Nebraska are a top of the conference in the past for the Buckeyes. If they can win out their half of the conference (The Leaders), they can play in the first ever Big Ten Championship game. The team will play Indiana this coming weekend.
