Anthony LaLota played basketball up until his junior year at New Jersey Hun School until he decided to also take up football. "The circumstances that led me to play football are that I realized I could be a pretty good football player and also the chance to play for a great team like Hun." He has excelled at his new sport and the Hun went undefeated last season.

His play on the field has led to attention from a good number of major football programs across the country. The Rivals Top 250 national defensive end prospect has been on visits to Notre Dame, Florida, Rutgers, and Virginia but has not scheduled any additional visits at this time. "I do not have any more visits scheduled yet." LaLota told us recently.

Ohio State has offered a scholarship and is very interested in securing a commitment from LaLota. Ohio State Wide Receiver's Coach Darrel Hazell has been recruiting him and has made a good impression on the highly sought after pass rusher. "I think Coach Hazell seems like a very good coach and I think he is a really nice, cool guy." LaLota explained about his relationship with the New Jersey recruiting coach for the Buckeyes.

He has not begun to narrow down his list of schools which most recently has numbered 23 offers and could expand during the spring evaluation period. "I will narrow down my list during the next few months." He reported to us about his timetable.
