Ohio St Buckeyes got some great news and local talent for their 2018 recruiting class. Three star rated defensive end Alex Williams from Pickerington North High School has switched his commitment from West Virginia University to the Ohio State University. This announcement comes on the first of early signing days, but there are sure to be many more announcements to come in the next few exciting days ahead.
This is not totally official yet, and could still have a chance to go awry, but Williams school were the ones to put out the notice of young Mr. Williams intent. He is expected to make his signing official on Wednesday with Ohio State. This coming from a close source to Williams who confirmed it.
Alex Williams is quite the specimen at 6'7" and 250 pounds. He is ranked as the 32nd weak side defensive end in the nation and the 26th best player in the state of Ohio. He had been committed to West Virginia since May, but it seems a visit from head coach Urban Meyer has changed his outlook on where he wants to play next year.
If all goes as planned for the Buckeyes, then they will receive a much needed commitment from a defensive end this year as they have none yet. They lost the two other players that soft committed to them to other schools. This could help turn things around for them.
